The Guidance and Counselling Cell was initiated with the aim of providing services to students and to journey with them in their lives by helping them build more resources within themselves, remove barriers that hinder their growth potential and feel more equipped to find their way in the world. Guidance and Counselling can help in promoting students’ retention and better scholastic performance in curricular areas, facilitating adjustment and career development of students, developing the right attitudes towards studies, self, work and others.

The College Placement Cell welcomes all organizations to make pre-placement talks, which provide an opportunity for the organizations to showcase their corporate requirements and the job profiles.

  • Collection of resumes from the students and forwarding them to organizations.

  • Virtual Recruitment Drive

    •     On 16-08-21 Career Guidance Cell, NAM College Kallikkandy in collaboration with IQAC, Organized a virtual Recruitment Drive for ICICI Bank. Students of different departments have attended the programme. Mr . Prince M.V (B.Com 2021) got selected for the posititon of senior officer in ICICI with a package of 2.05-2.60 lakhs per annuam.


  • Job Fair

    •     Career Guidance Cell, NAM College Kallikkandy in association with District Employability Centre, Kannur & Alumni Association Organized a job fair on 04-12-2021. 28 leading employers including Aster MIMS, PARCO, Milma, Wonderla participated in the recruitment process. Around 900 candidates turned up for the Job Fair, of which 96 were selected to various companies. Many candidates were short listed for the next round selction process. The event was a huge success. Managing Committee of the College took a great initiative in connecting prospective empoyees with employers through this event. The official inauguartyion session began with a Welcome Speech of Dr. Muhammed Kutty KK, Pricipal. This was followewd by the inauguartion by Mr.KP Mohanan MLA. Mr Rameshan Kuniyil, District Empolyment Officer In charge presided over the function. The key note address was given by Sri,Chandrashekhar IAS (District Collector,Kannur). Dr MK Madhusoodanan delivered on introducing speech. The programme was felicitated by Dr. Majeesh T and Sameer Parambath Mr. Arif MK, Career Guidance Cell Cordinator proposed the vote of thanks.


  • SPARK ( Student’s Personal & Academic Reinforcement through Knowledge ) for Advanced Learners

    •     SPARK is a joint initiative of Career Guidance Cell and IQAC for the professional and personal enrichment of advanced learners. 1st Year students from different departments were selected based on the recommendation of tutor. students are suppose to get Career Guidance , soft Skill Development, Employability Skill Development Sessions throught the academic years. This programme was financed by PTA of the college.

        The official launching of the programme done by Dr.Muhammed Kutty KK (Principal) on 10-01-22. Mr Rasheed Kodiyura, NLP Trainer handled a wonderful session on personality development. 50 students of different departments have attended the programme.

        As a part of SPARK, two day residential camp was organized at NAM College campus on 4th and 5th Feb 2022. More than 50 students attended the programme. 4 session were held in the two day camp. First session on ‘Better Presentation ‘ was done by Dr. MK Madhusoodhanan, HOD of Physical Education. Ms Sheethal, Ms Sai Varenya, Asst Professor in English were also handled the session. Mr Nisar K Pattuvam was the resource person of the second session. He led a session on Incalculating spirit of Life.

        On 05-02-22 (second day) Mr Munfar Kapil presented a topic on Cyber Literacy and Social media. The second session was steered by Mr Lukman, English Language trainer, presented a topic ‘English Language Proficiency ‘. The faculty members namely Mr Sakkariya KK, Mr Firdouse N, Dr Anas E, Ms Noushida and Ms Ashifa have addressed the camp members.


  • SPARK - Internal Mentoring

    Total members of the SPARK project divided into four groups for Internal Mentoring. Following persons are selected as mentors.

    SPARK Mentoring profile form was given to the students. After the study of profile, mentors started mentoring on personal and professional matters.

  • UGC NTA NET - JRF Preparatory Cource

    •     Career Guidance Cell in collaboration with IQAC took initiative to organize Preparatory Course for UGC NTA NET – JRF Examination. The course included orientation programme, Mock Test, Coaching classes for Paper – I and online session for Paper II (English and Commerce). Dr Ashraf E taught lesson for Paper – I. Mr Nasrulla, Department of English, provided materials for Paper – II (English). The Post Graduate Students of different department were the beneficieries of the course.

  • Call to Government Service

    •     The Cell use to remind the strudents about the important Employment Notifications of different Government Services. Class based motivation session are also the part of reminder.

  • Orientation Programme on Premier Institutions

    •     Career Guidance Cell in association with IQAC and college Students’ Union, conducted an orientation on Premier Institutioans for Post Graduation. Ms Aneesha Ziya (student union) delivered the welcome address. Dr Muhammed Kutty kk, Principal inaugurated the function, Mr Nasrullah Mambrol, Mr Sakkariya KK, Ms Noushida, Mr Firdouse N and Mr Abdul Ashraf introduced different universities. Dr Shameer AP, Dr Muhammed Ismail and Ali k addressed the gathering. Mr Arif MK chaired the session. Mr Abdulla of college union was present for the function. 99 students attended the programme.
